Genevieve & Milo - ‘Love Is At The Centre’ out today!

Genevieve and Milo are a medicine music duo from Cape Town. They weave together prayers and songs inspired by the spirit of nature and the journey of healing.

Raised amidst the raw beauty of the icy Atlantic Ocean and the boundless expanses of the Cape wilderness, their musical essence is rooted in a profound connection to nature.

Their compositions, both mournful and elevating, encapsulate heartfelt messages, narrating tales of healing, and inviting listeners to rediscover the spirit of nature. Fusing influences from South America, Africa, and their ancestral Celtic heritage, their music transcends boundaries, leading listeners on a journey into the quietude of the heart, finding solace in melody.

“‘Love Is At The Centre’ was conceived during a time of grieving when my grandfather passed away. Sitting with him during his time of transition was a profoundly deep moment of my life, that left me in the throes of grief, yet simultaneously resting in a newfound perspective of life. The interconnectedness of all things becomes so prevalent in the moments when death is near. Through his death I came to know him on a deeper level, and witness his spirit in so many things. No longer confined to the body, I understood the expansiveness of who we really are, and what defines us as beings.

This song is an honouring of Love, and how it is the invisible force that ties us to all things, it is the essence of who we are. ‘Love Is At The Centre’ arrived to me in a time of deep sorrow, and offered me solace as I traversed loss and the teachings it holds. As I was discovering the true meaning of letting go, this prayer came to carry me on my way. My wish is that it may serve others in the same way.”

An emotive, beautiful song capturing the essence of this profound life transition and interconnectedness of life.
