Ayla Schafer "Honour The Water" EP is out.

Honouring the waters through her beautiful and calming song and sound, Ayla Schafer completes a six-song journey with Nixi Music through the many forms of water that life blesses us with. ‘Honour The Water’ is forgotten poetry in a fast paced world, bringing us gently back to connection, softness and flow, just like water itself.

This EP is a reminder of how precious and sacred water is, not just as something we use, but as a living force that connects us all. These songs come from a place of deep respect and gratitude - a call to feel inside ourselves what it truly means to honour water as our mother, our healer, and our guide. Without her, there is no life, and this music asks us to wake-up, to listen, and to take care of her as she takes care of us.

With these songs I share my own connection to water - the way it teaches surrender, trust, and healing. This EP invites you to open your heart, to remember the ancient bond we share with the rivers, the oceans, and the rains. It is a call to come closer, to feel the pulse of life flowing through us, and to step into the responsibility we have to protect and cherish this sacred gift. The EP begins with ‘Honour the Water’, a musical odyssey into the heart of water, featuring mystic troubadour Murray Kyle. 

Susie Ro offers her gentle feminine flow on track two, ‘Like The River’ - a soul-stirring song inspired by the profound beauty and wisdom encapsulated within the flowing currents of a river. 

On ‘Listen, Water Brings a Message’ Ayla weaves a gentle and strong story through song - “Listen, listen, listen and learn, Bring the change to your hearts first, All of us, Ancestors, Soil, Water, Plants, Airs and Animals, Are calling you humans to us, so we can save you.”. 

Unreleased track ‘Agua’ feat Txai Fernando is a meditative, soul-soothing song. It’s a space to soften, to slow down, and to dissolve into the spirit of water. 

‘Honramos las Aguas’ is a warm offering to the waters in Spanish, written at the foot of a 500 metre waterfall, surrounded by the magic of nature. 

And the EP closes with a gentle feminine dance - ‘Water Song’ feat. Mose, who adapts the prayerful lyrics and melody of Ayla to move hearts and bodies into an ecstatic trance.
